Dr. James E. Carr, PhD, BCBA-D is the Chief Executive Officer of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. His professional interests include behavior analyst credentialing, behavioral assessment and treatment of developmental disabilities, verbal behavior, and practitioner training. Dr. Carr has published over 135 scientific articles on these and other topics. Dr. Carr is a Fellow of the Association for Behavior Analysis International. He is the editor-in- chief of the journal The Analysis of Verbal Behavior and has served on the editorial boards of 10 other behavior analysis journals, including 4 appointments as associate editor. Dr. Carr is the president of the Colorado Association for Behavior Analysis and past president of the Mid-American and Alabama Associations for Behavior Analysis. He received his doctorate in 1996 from Florida State University under the mentorship of Dr. Jon Bailey and previously served on the behavior analysis faculties at University of Nevada-Reno (1996-1999), Western Michigan University (1999-2008), and Auburn University (2008-2011).

Dr. Joel E. Ringdahl received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida in 1992. He went on to receive an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 1996 and 1999, respectively, both under the direction of Dr. Timothy Vollmer. He completed pre-doctoral training at Children’s Seashore House (University of Pennsylvania) under the supervision of Dr. F. Charles Mace, and postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa under the supervision of Drs. Linda Cooper-Brown and David Wacker. After serving on the faculties of the University of Iowa and Southern Illinois University, Dr. Ringdahl is currently on faculty at the University of Georgia. His primary research interests are related to assessment and treatment of severe behavior disorders and evaluating variables that impact treatment maintenance. Dr. Ringdahl has published his research in a number of journals, including Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, The Psychological Record, and Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. Since 2000, much of Dr. Ringdahl’s research related to developmental disabilities and problem behavior has been supported by external funding from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Ringdahl has served on the boards of editors for a wide variety of journals, and is a past Associate Editor for Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for The Psychological Record, and recently began a four-year term as a standing panel member for the Childhood Psychopathology and Developmental Disabilities study section within the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

Dr. Matthew O’Brien, Ph.D., is a behavioral psychologist at the Center for Disabilities and Development at University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. He completed his doctorate in Psychological and Quantitative Foundations from the University of Iowa and completed postdoctoral fellowships in neuropsychology and behavioral psychology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. O’Brien currently serves as the Director of Biobehavioral Day Treatment Programming and also provides neuropsychological and neurobehavioral evaluation in the Child Assessment Clinic. His research is focused on functional assessment of severe and challenging behavior in individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Dr. Gina Green received a PhD in Psychology (Analysis of Behavior) from Utah State University in 1986 following undergraduate and master’s degree studies at Michigan State University. She has been a faculty member in Behavior Analysis and Therapy at Southern Illinois University; Director of Research at the New England Center for Children in Southborough, Massachusetts; Associate Scientist at the E.K. Shriver Center for Mental Retardation in Waltham, Massachusetts; Research Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics, University of Massachusetts Medical School; a Lecturer in Public Health and Special Education at San Diego State University; and a consultant in private practice. Currently Dr. Green is the Executive Director of the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts. She has authored numerous publications on the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries, as well as the experimental analysis of behavior. Dr. Green co-edited the books Behavioral Intervention for Young Children with Autism and Making a Difference: Behavioral Intervention for Autism. She serves or has served on the editorial boards of several professional journals in developmental disabilities and behavior analysis. Dr. Green also serves on the Autism Advisory Group of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies and the advisory boards of several autism programs and organizations. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral, former president of the Association for Behavior Analysis and the California Association for Behavior Analysis, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, a founding Director of the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Council for Scientific Medicine and Mental Health, and the Association for Behavior Analysis. Other recognition and awards include Psychology Today’s “Mental Health Professional of the Year” (2000); honorary Doctor of Science degree from The Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland (2005); California Association for Behavior Analysis Award for Outstanding Contributions to Behavior Analysis (2013); New York State Association for Behavior Analysis John W. Jacobson Award for Contributions to Behavior Analysis (2013); Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis & Therapy Sidman Award for Enduring Contributions to Applied Behavior Analysis (2014); Friend of the Kendall Centers, Modesto, CA (2014); and Autism Speaks Provider of the Year (2014). Dr. Green lectures and consults widely on autism and related disorders, behavioral research, effective interventions for people with disabilities, and public policies affecting the practice of applied behavior analysis.

Dr. Florence DiGennaro Reed, a board certified behavior analyst, received a doctorate in school psychology from Syracuse University. She also completed a clinical post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute for Child Development and a pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the May Center for Education and Neurorehabilitation and the May Center for Child Development. Presently, Florence is an Associate Professor in and Chairperson of the Department of Applied Behavioral Science at the University of Kansas where she directs the Performance Management Laboratory. Her research examines effective and efficient staff training and performance improvement practices. She also conducts translational research in on-campus laboratory facilities. Florence has published articles and book chapters on a variety of topics including training, performance management, assessment, and intervention.  She has served on the editorial boards of Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Behavioral Education, Behavior Analysis in Practice, and School Psychology Review and is an Associate Editor for Journal of Behavioral Education and Behavior Analysis in Practice. Florence is co-editor of two books published through Springer titled Handbook of Crisis Intervention for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Bridging the Gap Between Science and Practice in Autism Service Delivery.
